Life Time Happiness; Make It To Go Please

This is not what I have experienced till now. Although I have searched and hoped to be happy in most of the time, it was really not possible for me to sustain.
As a teenager, I was able to  “consume” my time as I like during most of the summer vacations. Back  then I had no fear to lose, to make a wrong decision, or to fall in love, even with an inappropriate guy. Everything was fun and could be “reset”.
What happened in between? Got ruled out by society? Yes, only because I wanted to.  I bought and  internalized their ideas that restricted my vision and spontaneity.
As I was walking by the glamorous  Bosphorus  the other morning at 7.00 am, I checked out the great buildings along the seaside. No one yet was awake in most of the apartments. They are few of the blessed citizens for they live in such a district in İstanbul. I wonder if they still enjoy their  perfect view and are aware of this privilege. Are they happy against all odds? I can only guess the answer.
Some people are birth given happy. If you are not one of them, then you know that you experience happiness only during some intervals of your life. It is wise that you should get the most out of it as if you are having your best meal. You should eat it with small bites, swallow it slowly and enjoy the whole meal as you take your time.
For me, as I sense life as a road to ride; I prefer to ride my car  at the right gear.
There are times I let go of the gear and still enjoy the speed and the course. I fuel up happiness when it lacks and go along the journey until I consume it all over again. I get into a drive and simply ask for any happiness  for the next stage of the road. The quality and the quantity may differ, it is all acceptable.  There is no such thing like  “Life time happiness” to buy. It is not even produced.
When I get my   “new set of happiness to go”   I am always ready to sing along with Chris Rea  as change his lyrics to “Road To Heaven”.
